Marketing And Advertising : Which Is What?
Marketing and advertising are often interchangeably confused with each other. The fact of the matter is that the two have some striking differences which are important to be aware of especially when conducting marke research. In a nutshell, advertising relates to the paid, non-personal and public announcement of a message with a persuasive tone.

There is always an identified sponsor behind advertising. Marketing on the other hand refers to the systematic planning and implementation of a unique mix of business activities. The eventual aim of marketing is to bring buyers and sellers together.
After reading the above mentioned information we can clearly conclude that advertising is actually a component of marketing. In fact it is one of the most important but not the only component of marketing. Advertising is all about getting the word out regarding your business, its services and products. You are required to develop strategies involving the types of mediums you will use, the placement of the advertisement and the frequency with which it will occur.
Marketing has many parts to it. The first part starts with market research. However there are other important parts like public relations, media planning, distribution, product pricing, sales strategy, customer support and community involvement that all fall within the bracket of marketing. The key to a successful marketing strategy is that all these factors must be planned in such a way that they have the ability to work together as well as independently on their own as well.
